{"id":910,"date":"2021-04-30T21:51:08","date_gmt":"2021-04-30T18:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dossier.org.ua\/events\/16042021_f2f_organic\/"},"modified":"2021-05-05T15:21:51","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T12:21:51","slug":"16042021_f2f_organic","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.dossier.org.ua\/en\/events\/16042021_f2f_organic\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian Green Way from Farm to Fork: organic agriculture"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On March 25, 2021 the European Commission adopted an Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production<\/strong>. In addition to achievement of the goal of the European Green Deal and its Strategies \u201cFrom Farm to Fork\u201d and Biodiversity to increase the area under organic production (up to 25% by 2030), the need for security of agricultural production is stressed, as well as further development of sustainability of the sector and rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On March 3d, 2021 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved \u201cThe National Economic Strategy until 2030\u201d<\/strong>, which officially sets the goal of land under organic production (in percent). Main tasks: to achieve at least 3% of lands with organic status in the total area of agricultural lands in Ukraine; to increase exports of organic products to 1 billion US dollars by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the discussion platform, together with international and Ukrainian experts we will discuss importance of organic production for farmers, communities and consumers in Ukraine and in the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants will get detailed information on the European Green Deal, the From Farm to Fork Strategyand, of course, the new EU Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Questions for discussion:<\/strong><br>-How does the development of organic production affect the international image of Ukraine?<br>-How does the development of organic production affect the environment and climate?<br>-How does the development of organic farming affect the community where the farm is located?<br>-How is organic production related to consumer habits and behaviour?<br>-What conclusions can be drawn from this discussion: for farmers, for communities, for consumers, for the government?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organisers:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dossier.org.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Information Center \u201cGreen Dossier\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/organicukraine.org.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Organic Ukraine NGO<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/j\/86370310747\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Link to connect to Zoom on the day of the event<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This event is organising with the support of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/eeas.europa.eu\/delegations\/ukraine_uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Union<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.irf.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Renaissance Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;within the framework of the EU4USociety project.
